La Luz Book Program

La Luz Centro Cultural in collaboration with Together 4 Families, Early Childhood Iowa, offers a program with the dual intent of being a supportive space for parents/expecting mothers, and of providing educational opportunities for parents and their children 0 to 5 years of age. Parents and children spend time together cultivating a bond and mutual love of reading. The club reads both English and Spanish books to broaden exposure to both languages. There are also opportunities for a thematic craft or for open play time with our educational toys. Families will be able to take home a copy of some of the books read to build their home library and to continue reading together. Come share an hour with your child on Mondays at 4:00 pm and Thursdays at 11:00 am.
